Movies to learn about
It is something surprises me, latelly in these last years, but everybody has an opinion about everything. It is uncommon to listening to somebody to say: " I do not have an opinion about it" or I haven´'t thought about it" or more strange is to hear somebody saying " I don´t know about it".
It seems like if you don´t have an opinion , you are kind of stupid.
Nowadays I've been able to see this about Israeli and Palestinian "conflict". Compulsory you must have an opinion about, meanly, who is right or who is guilty or who you are with.
Is it possible to admit, you don´t know ..... how to solve the problem? who is attacking who, so who is defending themselves? Or who has to take the first step to stop the killing?
I have a slighty idea about how to answer those questions, but firstly you need to know and a goog way is watching some movies related to the problem.
These are the ones I've found as the most recommended. I hope to watch them all and to give my opinion about them
1. Waltz with Basil (watched)
2. 5 Broken cameras
3. Paradise now
And here it is the catalogue from Filmin about this theme

Some of the best scenes in movies. Any suggestion?
Yesterday I was talking to Laura about some awasome scenes in movies and I thought about make a collection of some of them and update the post from time to time.
1. One day I was talking to Laura about a scene in the Woodsman. In this scene the main character is talking to a girl (he is a child molester). He, during the whole movie, is trying to avoid falling back to his crimes, and in this scene is about to do it , or not? that's the good point in this scene... you do not want him to do it again because you saw him struggeling and suffering and you feel a kind of empathy..
2. Related to the previous one. Laura told me about a scene in a movie called Little Children in which you can see somedoby accused of molesting children in a pool and the people's reaction when he shows up and starts diving. It is quite shocking.
3. During that moment (remembering most favourites scenes) Laura reminded me one of the most hilarious one I've ever seen. The movie is In and Out. In the scene Kevin Kline is trying to demostrate himself that he is a man. To do that he is listening to a recording and following instructions and .... ended in this really funny scene.
4. Changing completely the subject .. this one is also a classic. I was listening a podcast and they were talking about those expressions and sentences in movies that became famous and part of the history of cinema.By the way the movie is Sudden Impact and the scene is played by Dirty Harry
5. Another funny one. This movie surprises me completely. Laura told me about it and we gave it a try. And maybe for me is one of the most funny and hilarious movie I've ever seen in my life. The actress Amy Schumer is also a stand up comedian and she is really good. There are some good scenes, but this one is my favourite.
6. This one it is not funny, it is not the best interpretation ever but the story behind it is quite odd. It is said that the Mafia reached an agreement with The Godfather producers to allow the movie to be made but under some conditions. One of them was not to say the word Mafia and another one was to use some real gansters as actors. The most famous one was Lenny Montana playing as Luca Brasi.
It is said that he was so nervous before facing the scene with Marlon Brandon (at the beginning of the film) that just before playing it he was practising the scene repeting the words he had to say. Coppola took advantage of this situation to show how intimidating was Vito Corleone to his men.
7. I like this movie. I like Kevin Spacey, and I like Brad Pit a lot. This movie is a thriller full of very good moments, but this one is really the one. What's in the box? If you have not watched it yet, you are wasting your time.
8. Epic scene also in one of the most funniest movies ever. No matter when you watch it and no matter how many times you did, you will laugh for sure again and again.
One important point to say. I watched this movie traslated into spanish. They did a very good job, because the movie is full of gags that many times gags related to the language. In fact in this scene the names of the resistance members are different in the original version than in the traslated version into Spanish (but as I said spanish version is still really good)
As a anecdote. This is the only movie in which I 've seen my father laughing like a child.
9. This is not a scene in a movie, is a scene in a documentarie. It is not something planned in advanced to get a certain reaction. This is something that happened spontaneously but at the same time the best end possible. Imagine a docushow of 6 episodies following the life of a man for dozens of years and hours of interviews and investigations when suddenly in the last moment an open microphone gives us the best moment in the docushow.

Review. The deepest breath
Another documentary to watch.
I've seen a lot of good documentaries, and lately is being difficult to find one really good. No matter the theme, there are a lot but as the same with movies and shows they are doing a lot, but most of them not really good.
This one it is not bad. It's a sport documentarie, but also a beautiful story of competition and love or friendship. It's a about a sport I did not know anything about it. Free diving. As far as I saw there are some styles you can compite to go deeper in the sea normally with fins (a special one called monofin or two separated) or without fins. You can also compite in a swiming pool diving and completing the more lenghts as possible (or meters) or you can compite holding your breath just stopped in facing down in a swimming pool. The one going deeper is the most spectacular, not only because of the act itself, also because the places and the beauty of the performance.
Apart from that ,the sport has more attractive features... the fact that is a high risk sport for example. You can die everytime you try (despite of this has a very low rate of deaths) and also another one is how incredible is to hold the breath for more than 10 minutes or going up to 130 meters deep. How far you are from that......
Apart from how incredible is the sport, it is a well told story. There is some drama, a bit of healthy competition, and also they are able to surprise you at the end.
As an anecdote, when you finish the movie, I was like of testing myself in the swimming pool.... and I even was not able to do a 25 meters length diving..... hahahaha
It is amazing.

Review. Border
What a movie!
I watched this movie some years ago, but it came back to my mind some days ago after watching "Cerdita" a spanish movie I watched with Laura. They are not similar at all, but both where a big surprise, not because they were very good movies, mainly because you expect something and it is not what you expected at all. In GORDITA you expect a movie abour a girl who is overweight and is bullied by others girls in the village and tipically she suffers a lot, but at some point somebody helps her and more. But it is not the case at all.
The same is more or less with border but in the case of a fatty girl is a girl with a strange face, who looks akward, but with a rare and powerful smell sense...
But it is not the case. Suddenly the plot turns to something different. A story about trolls in the modern world, also a love story, and a dramatic story. Something totally different.
As I said it is not an awasome movie, but it makes you being glued to the coach seeing what is going to happen next.
I would say is kind of a modern tale with some message inside about how we judge people by their apparience.

A good show or a good movie
This is a interesting question: What makes a movie a good movie? A good movie could be a bad movie for others, so in your case how can you get to the point of saying.... I watched a good movie.
In my case...
It´s a good movie if you talk about it later even with the people you watched it.
It's a good movie if you are anxious of recommend it to your friends
It's a good movie or show if you feel. And it's better if you feel negative feelings like anger, rage, fear, injustice.

There will be a moment...
Hello everyboby.
Today I am going to talk about all these shows I have seen but not completely or at least I do not remember to have finish it.
The reason for that are diverse, but generally because they are too long or cause it takes an effort to get them (meaning to pirate them). I'ven seen a lot this way and it takes time. You find it you download them, you get subtitles, you check them and more.
But sometimes is because I lose interest. It is imposible to do something like game of thrones or breaking bad nowadays. To start with, you normally watch some shows at the same time and if you have one better, the worse one is condemned to forgetfulness and sometimes for ever.
These are the ones I remember right now:
-The Sopranos. I do not really know if I've finished this show. I watched it long time ago (I could not say how long but it was one of the first).
It is really good and have some fascinating character, like the main one Tony Soprano. I remember from it to have this kind of mixed emotions.... they are fucking gansters, but at the same time you feel some kind of sorrow for them.
I would like to watch it again. It makes me feel lazy to start again from the beginning because I think many episodies will sound very familiar to me, but I think it is worth it.
-The Wire. It is the same like with The Sopranos, I do not if I finished. I should try to find out. I liked a lot, that`s why I have my doubts about it I finished it or not. I can not find a reason to stop these two because they are really good ones.
-Shameless (american version). In this case the reason was, that I had problems watching them. Al the beginning I got a lot of season but later I had to wair until they release a new one so I lost interest in the story and .... I also liked a lot and I will try to resume it
(right one I am going to take a pause to go to wikipedia to see how many seasons have the ones I talked about)
The Sopranos has 6 seasons and it is in HBO
The wire has 5 and it is also in HBO
Shameless has 11! and also in HBO ( comes from: home box office by the way)
Let's keep with the rest of abandoned shows:
-Strange things. I qhink I won't give a chance to this show. Too much science fiction to me. I watched a couple of seasons maybe but I got a bit bored.
-Lost. Another one I won´t watch o I won't finish. It started quite well, but I suddenly it started to make no sense. Kind of a very big twist but with no sense or too far from the story.
-Better call Saul I am going to finish it as soon as I can. I stopped to watch it because I was downloading from a torrent site and I guess another show jumped the queue and I lost the pace. The problem is that here in Spain you can watch it in netflix and i don't have it. We will see.
Up to now I can not remember more shows I have stopped watching or at least those to give a new chance.
Just today before the official nap (and after a swimming workout, which means a high quality nap) I was looking for something to watch and I came across to Ray Donovan (in skyshowtime). This one is one of those that I knew I have not finished yet, because I had to wait until new season and in the meantime I lost track of it.
In order to avoid this (losing track of season) I had an app called TV time. I am going to recover it and take control again of my hobby.
