It is possible a list of the best TV SHOWS?

The previous day I dared to say which one is in my opinion the best tv show I've ever watched along these years and today I am going to try to make a list in order of course of the best. The position in the list is not a fixed position, not only because new entries but because I will take a look from time to time to make some changes.

As usual the first ones are easiest to list , but not the others. I will check on the list from time to time and some changes will be done. What I am totally sure is that I will be able to find something like Oz, game of thrones and breaking bad, because they were released in the right moment. Right now thousand of tv shows are on the air and because of the market quality it is not the main goal. Main goal is to have a lot. (I whish I was wrong).

Here you are:

1º OZ

2º Game of Thrones

3º Breaking Bad

4º Dear Zachary a letter to a son from his father

5º Making a murderer

6º The Jinx

7º Ozark

8º Narcos

9º Sons of Anarchy

10ª The handmaid's tale

11º Abducted in plain sight

So best TV SHOW ever?

  Hi guys.

I am surely not the biggest TV SHOW fan ever, but I am a strong consumer and I am seen a lot of them. There are more titles than in the recommended list, because I just listed the best ones.

So as somebody with some experience I am gonna try to talk about the best TV show in my opinion.

This selection does not depend only on the the quality, also depens on the moment you watched it, how you watched, the emotions you had watching it and more. From that point of view is quite difficult to have just one in mind. Normally people attend to the genre in order to chose one. I would do it because obviously it is not the same a true crime story than a stand up comedy, but I am going to take the risk of talk about one that precisely I heard about today in a podcast about HBO origins.

And the chosen one is........ OZ . Why?

I gonna try to find the words, buy as I said it is about emotions. Firstly is amusing and enjoyable and this is a must in a TV show at least in my case. If you do not have a good time , if you do not finish it asking yourself if you watch another episode, if you do not feel like sharing it with your friends, you (me) are losing your time.

Secondly it makes you feel something, in my case it was a mixture of fear and desolation about human race and also unjustice. You can imagine yourself in such a condition where your values are totally useless, trying to be what you are not (a savage, a bad person), trying to survive everyday..

Characters are perfectly chosen. You see them trying to redem themselves but falling down again an again in order to survive. You see very bad people showing sometimes some humanity and the contrary good people adapting to hell but being no evil.

Third. There is a message. I do not look for messages or moral in TV shows or in movies or books or whatever, but from time to time you find that lesson. In this case is a report or complaint about the penitentiary system in USA.

It is not of course a place to rehabilitation, it is a business and a place to hide the miseries of the american society.

I felt worried about the future of the main character, also scared of the unlimitless malice of other. Hopeful about the transformation of another.

6 season of pure enjoyment.

You have to consider I've chosen this TV show over some like Breaking Bad, Game of thrones or Dear Zachary.... The theme is completey different (just Breaking Bad have something to do) that's why is so difficult to have just one, but maybe because it was one of the first I watched, or maybe the amount of emotions involved (fear, unjustice, recognition) or maybe the moment of my life, but this is the one.

Why? explaining the holocaust by Peter Hayes

Today I want to talk about this book.

This spring when I started my sick leave I had to find ways to be busy, in part because I did not want to be thinking of my problems. So I started to read. It's been a long with no reading. TV shows and mobile were having a lot of time in my life and one day I decided to start reading again.

There is a big problem that is to get interesting books, mainly because there are too many and it makes me difficult to chose one. So I started to look for books about one of my favourite topics, I mean nazism, II world war, an holocaust. I searched on the web and this one was one of the recommended. Why means

Why in Germany, why in that moment, why Jews, why they did not do anything to fight, why Europe and the rest of the world did not do anything, and more.

These are very interesting questions and all of them are explained in the book. The point in the book is to think about that if there are the right conditions everything could happen even nowadays. You can say now it is imposible and I can say how Ukraine war now, how Trump as a president, how extreme right is again in many governs, and how the loss of civil rights as abortion, euthanasia, LGTBI rights in many countries.

It is a really good reading. You will find answer to those questions and you will realise it is not so impossible to happen again.

Book review. If this is a man by Primo Levy

I've read a lot in my life. During my teens I read books and books and books. Thousand of books. I borrowed books from my grandfather, I took a lot of books from the library and I have bought many many books.

Then I stopped to read and I have not read in some time, but lately (this last year) I came back to read again. In some of thoses years I was reading a lot I chose this book in a library.

This topic of nazism, holocaust and II World War is been one of my favourites ever. And this book atracted my attention because it is the experience of a man in a concentration camp.

There are a lot of books about experiences in concentration camps, but among them this is one of the basic. Apart from describing the life there with detail he also includes his thought about the meaning of life, why some survived and others don`t and why so cruelty.

Maybe the best book to introduce yourself in this kind of literature.

I liked a lot. I've read it several times and I consider it one of the best books about the theme. It is intense is quite descriptive and moving.

Highly recommended. With factfulness is one of the books I have recommended the most.

Book review. Factfulness by Anna, Hans and Ola Rosling

Hi guys, today I would like to talk about a book I read some years ago, but come to my mind from time to time. It is also the book I´ve recommended the most without doubt.

It is a book to impact you and to show we are full of biases and thoughts without basis.

I knew about it searching for books to read on the internet. This one was one of the books recommend by Bill Gates (the owner of microsoft). I have not read much about this guy, I know is rich but also very very generous and very involved in some themes as enviromentalism, education and more. I decided to give it a try.

What´s it about:

It is about data. There are a lot of data. And i is about hope. It looks like the world it is not such an horrible place to live in and the author is determined to show it to you. Ir order to do it firstly you have to take a test about some data around the world. The author, who knows perfectly what you are going to answer, use your anwers to teach us about how to look at what is happening around us that we know through what we see what we read and what we are told.

He leads you throughout a trip to all the biases we live with in order to teach you how to get rid of these biases or at least how to be aware of them. Without them the world does not look so bad.

So it is a book to learn, it is also a practical book because while you are reading it,  you asked yourself what´s more you see under the influence of those biases and it is quite a interesting reflection.

It is also a book to boost your hope and morale about the world you live in.

The author discovered he has cancer just when he decided to write the book so he was helped by his daughter and son in low.

By the way I told you before that is a book recommended by Bill Gates, so it is said that he had the intention to gave it as a present to all the graduates in EEUU that year.

Movies about the holocaust and nazism

The theme of the holocaust has been always one of my favourites. Why? that is a question thar always come to my mind. Not because I am involved through my political point of view or whatever. Mainly I am fascinated about how it could happen and how it could last for so many years. Also how so many people got involved and how it is possible such an amount of cruelty.

I´ve read a lot of books I´ve watched a lot of documentaries, and movies and I am still looking for more.

These are the best of every genre in my opinion:

Documentaries:

-Shoah

-Night and fog

-The last days

- Auschwichtz : The Nazis and the Final Solution

-The sorrow and the pity

Books:

A man´s searching for meaning by Viktor Frankl

The tatoist of Auchwitz by Heathe Morris

The diary of a young girl by Anna Frank

If this is a man by Primo Levi

Night by Elie Wiesel

The complete Maus by Art Spiegelman

The last train by Peter Bradley

Why? explaining the holocaust by Peter Hayes (I will write about this book soon, is really interesting)

BOOK REVIEW .ANTIFRAGIL: Las COSAS que SE BENEFICIAN del DESORDEN, NASSIM NICHOLAS TALEB

 Where to find it HERE.

Episodie of profe Claudio Nieto podcast. This podcast is also one of the good ones about fitness physiology,  health and nutrition. In just a couple of years Claudio Nieto (a PE teacher in Spain) has made up a very solid you tube channel and podcast with a lot of information. I do not how, but he is able to upload a lot of material. I started watching his videos and I even write him cheering him up to try podcast format.

Some weeks after (I guess a lot of people was demaning him the same) he started de podcast and there he is, doing an excelent job and interviewing frontline people, like Ramón Nogueras, Juan Antonio Madrid, Kilian Jornet, Ismael Galancho and a lot more.

This episodie is summary of the concept of antifragile, by Nassin Nicholas Taleb. An economist author of the book antifragile. The article is about the meaning of antifragility as a opposite of fragile instead of robust. It is quite interesting concept applicable to many aspects of life even health.

In few words this ability o capacity allows you to get stronger and anb better in many ways after a stressfull event. Contrary to resiliance or strength that means facing stress without adaptation this concept reflect the power of transformation in all areas. You stress muscles in order to get then stronger of faster not just to prevent them to get injured.

As the author says this is a quality to develop, abandoning our comfort zone and looking for discomfort in order to break the balance. Claudio Nieto talks about 8 steps to implement the concept in your life.

So chaos, confusion, and impredicteble thing happen in your life is a way to improve your antifragility as a way of being stronger and get a stady state higher than before until new stressors.

Of your the type of stressor and the character of it is very important.
