I want to talk about this Leaving Neverland. I knew about it many months ago and it is in one of those list I do and lose. The subject is interesting because I like Michael Jackson a lot. I would not say I am a big fan but I grow up listening and watching his videos on tv. I also knew and lived the accusations of molesting children. Immediately it seemed you had to make a decision about if you believe the accusations or not. Then once you have done it you have to decide if you are going to ban Michael Jackson music from your life. This is something I talked to Elvi, because Elvi was prone to do it and I was not, because even if that was true, you can split apart the man from the singer. Elvi could not do that. keeping listening Michael Jackson music and admiring the singer , from my point of view does not mean liking the man behind. The point is that Leaving Neverland came to my mind because I recently watched Joker in one of the best scenes of the film, a song of a singer is played. That song is Rock'n Roll part 2 by Gary Glitter who is indeed in jail because of accusation of pederasty. A kind of controversy immediately came up because of that, specially knowing that thanks to that he is still earning money as a owner of that song.
Independently of that, the scene is so powerful thanks to that song.
Well, and talking about the documentary about Michael Jackson, that is a good one. It is about the testimony after Michael death of two of the children he abused of. The movie is shocking and it catches you from the very beginning. In my case at some point I felt sorry for the man, because I believe pedophile is a kind of illness, but he denied once and again being guilty of that. In any case you can enjoy with the movie and the plot what ever your feelings about it.
